The other day, a friend of mine who is not so much with the Instagram, was surprised to learn that I post and write about makeup on my account there. You see, dear readers, she sees me every day and witnesses, in-person, the very scant amount of visible cosmetics I wear on the daily.

There are moments as a parent when you wonder why in the world you would ever have taken this on. It seems too much, both from a risking-your-heart standpoint, and from an oh-my-god-I-had-no-idea-how-exhausting-this-would-be standpoint.
But then there are those moments when you could almost drown in the love for your child. Or, as my husband and I refer to it, that moment when you wish you could unhinge your jaw and swallow your child whole.
To paraphrase the great Mark Twain, the report of yoga’s death is an exaggeration. Yoga has been around for thousands of years for a reason: it’s bigger than all of its past, present and future trappings.
There’s no greater place to prove this than at a Yoga Journal Conference.
Yeah, you read that right.
